Happy just about everything -- Isn't that how life should be? :)

The other half graduates

First my graduation, now yours! ... Leah, time flies a little bit, don't you think...?!

It has been almost 6 months since I have become a university graduate. ?!?!?. Feels more like just a few days ago. When I would go back to Birmingham these past few months, I would usually visit for just a night, and it definitely felt like I was... just a visitor. And that in itself took some getting used to! But this past weekend was different. I stayed from Wednesday until Sunday, and living back in the apartment with my dear roommate Leah, it felt like I had never left! I spent lunch hours and coffee breaks and dinner times with friends that I haven't seen in a while, and am so glad we got the chance to hang out and catch up. And this weekend was a big weekend, in more ways than one. It all surrounded around the May 2012 graduation that took place on Saturday, where my class of 2012 took the stage to receive their degrees. Mind you, this is the class I would've graduated with, had I not graduated early last December -- so sitting in the stands watching my friends walk in their cap and gowns was really a bittersweet thing! Walking around campus all weekend, I couldn't help but feel incredibly nostalgic... What a beautiful university I went to. What a precious and unique gift we have all been given, and will continue to take with us from our years at this amazing place that we have known and called home, for the past 4 years. I will forever be proud of my alma mater. And forever thankful! Congratulations, my class of 2012:)

Lisa's turn!

Last Friday, Lisa graduated from the University of Georgia. And what a beautiful graduate she was!

These three beautiful young women came to my graduation from Samford University back in December, and now it's Lisa's turn! Kristen will graduate from Auburn University in August, and Colleen will graduate from the University of Georgia in December. Despite different schools, new friends, and being separated by miles and state lines for 4 years, us four friends have remained as close as ever before. We made a point to be at each of our 21st birthdays last year, and made the trips each time! Now, we are making a point to be at each other's university graduations. So with mine last December 2011, Lisa's this May, Kristen's in August, and Colleen's this December -- that will make one full year, 4 graduations, 4 best friends. How convenient that we managed to have 4 different graduations, so each of us have our own day:) -- so perfect, you'd think we'd planned it!

After a day full of pictures, jumping in fountains, fireworks at the stadium, and a fantastic night out. celebrating with some of the best people around -- I leave you with this....

It will be KRISTEN'S TURN: COMING SOON, AUGUST 2012 .....

An "I love you" on Mother's Day.

This "I love you" is for a thousand different things. For every "yes" you gave into and all the "no's" you were so right about. For every word of advice and the times you stood by silently, for those lessons I needed to learn on my own. For every dream of yours that you put on hold and all the sacrifices I never even knew about. This "I love you" is for everything you did to make sure my life started out right. And it comes straight from my heart.

Happy Mother's Day Mom:)
